Burger Supremacy...

...has risen from the dead just in time for Halloween. Now that we're done with the hacky intro—feel free to follow this link to their review of the Cactus Club. Sure would be nice if they'd start reviewing some lesser known spots, but oh well.

question... how to 'preformed/mass produced/sysco food systems' burgers get rated? we all know boxes of burgers of various costings arrive at all our favorite pubs and non-fast food joints.... shouldn't 'homemade' burgers be recognized over a frozen, boxed, cheap sysco food systems burg?

Speaking of hitting original joints... we need to hit up The Edge in Sooke. I thought I had it planned for Reading Break, but they are closed Sunday/Monday. They have been receiving a few great reviews (only one from my parents on the paprika infused burgers themselves); and I'm dying to get out there. Let me know if you ever want a burger chowing partner if an Edge trip arises.

... oh; and maybe Homer's as dessert.

I rate burgers on overall flavour. I don't feel that homemade patties are automatically better than pre-formed ones. Lots of places that make their own patties haven't a clue what they're doing (and vice versa of course).

For instance: the burgers at Lambrick and Carnarvon Little Leagues are no doubt made with preservative filled frozen patties, but squirt a little mayo on them and they are easily more enjoyable than probably 85% of the burgers in town.

Homer's burgers are crusty (kind of a smashed patty style) and messy. Just a great fast food style burger altogether. The Pothole fries are a miss though.
